      Visitation Hours:

      Please contact the Teller County Detention Center directly to find out visiting hours. All visits will be limited to 30 minutes and inmates may have up to two visits a day, depending on the number of visitors for the whole facility that day.

      The rules for visiting are as follows:

      • Visitors to the Teller County Detention Center must be 18 years. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Only two minors per parent allowed at one time.
      • All visitors must show a valid ID
      • Visitors must provide their name and the inmate they wish to visit to the control officer
      • Only one visitor in the visitor booth at a time
      • All visits are non-contact

      Immigration Bond Information

      for the Teller County Detention Facility

      Delivery bonds (i.e., immigration bonds) cannot be posted in-person directly at the Teller County Detention Center. Instead, family members or associates can post an immigration bond at any of the 82 ICE-ERO facilities around the country that accept immigration bonds. The closest facility to the Teller County Detention Center that accepts immigration bonds is located at Denver Contract and Detention Facility (GEO) located at 3130 N. Oakland Street, Aurora, CO 80010. Immigration bonds can be posted Monday-Friday (except holidays) at this facility from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Bonds cannot be posted directly at the Teller County Detention Center.

      To post an immigration bond for someone detained at the Teller County Detention Center you must have a money order, cashier’s check or certified check. If the bond amount exceeds $10,000 and over, you can only pay by single cashier’s check or a certified check. All payments should be made to the “US Department of Homeland Security” or “Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”

      If you do not want to post the bond in-person yourself, you can also have a licensed immigration bond agent post the bond for you. For a small fee, ranging from 2% – 10%, an agent can post the bond for you electronically, so that you do not have to travel to the ICE-ERO facility. This process is typically faster and easier than posting a bond yourself.

        Yes, there is free public parking available at the facility and on the street. Visitor parking is marked.

        Can Consulate representatives visit clients at the Teller County Detention Center?

        Yes, Consulate representatives may visit detainees at the Teller County Detention Center at any time. It is requested that all consular visits be arranged ahead of time with the ICE Supervisory Deportation Officer by calling (719) 586-3002.

        If I am bonding someone out of the Teller County Detention Center do I post the bond there or do I post the bond in another location?

        While you can bail someone out of the Teller County Detention Facility, you cannot post the bond at that facility.           Colorado ICE Detention Facilities

          Not every ICE detention facility allows you to post an immigration bond in Colorado. If you would like to post an immigration bond it must be done at an ICE-ERO facility that accepts immigration bonds.

          You can post an immigration bond through a licensed immigration bonding agent. That agent can post a bond for you electronically for any detention facility in Colorado and around the US.
